who is cary?

Click here to watch his own introduction video! In case you'd want to hear from the man himself instead of some fan on neocities.

Cary Kaiming Huang (simplified Chinese: 黄凯明, traditional Chinese: 黃凱明, pinyin: Huáng Kǎimíng) is a Chinese-American YouTuber, animator, writer, producer, voice actor, and computer scientist. He is 27 years old (3/18/1997) and currently lives in California. Cary runs a variety of YouTube channels, including carykh, lazykh, jacknjellify, Humany, Cube Roll, Abacadaba*, and Zack Bone Productions* (Asterisks denote channels that he is no longer active on.) Cary is known for co-creating the webseries Battle For Dream Island (BFDI), creating The Scale of the Universe, creating The Scale of Things in Minecraft, Cary teaches you how to time travel, and many other feats. He also created Get to the Top Although There Is No Top!, a game that I already have a shrine for here! You also may have seen this video on social media before, and this is Cary! Here's a video of him talking about the meme.

why should i (the reader) cary about cary?

Get it. Cary. Like care but it's his name. ANYWAY. Cary is, for lack of a better term, a very influential person. BFDI is one of the most important webseries ever created, finding its place in the childhoods of many and creating a whole new genre of media, object shows. Even if you aren't a fan of object shows, if you're active online (particularly on Twitter), you've probably seen at least one object character, whether they're from BFDI or not. The Scale of the Universe is also a world-renowned tool, being used in schools, musuems, and even at NASA. It's so good, in fact, that he has a planet named after him for his efforts.

why do i (the webmaster) like cary?

It's simple, he's just one of my biggest inspirations in life. I first watched BFDI when I was a kid about 6 years ago, and his influence on my life cannot be understated. It's because of BFDI that I made one of my closest friends, and I don't know what I would do without them. Cary made BFDI with his brother while they were still young, younger than I am, and that fact alone motivates me enough to work on my own projects. If they made something that massive at a young age, then I can as well. He made The Scale of the Universe when he was only a teenager, and that fact further motivates me. I wouldn't be who I am today without Cary's works, and every day I am grateful for his existence.
